Write for us
We welcome clear, original contributions that help readers understand western riding, its traditions and the choices behind its equipment and practices.
What we welcome
Pitch explanatory pieces about riding concepts, tack, arena patterns, western riding history or considerate everyday horse care. Strong proposals answer a specific reader question and offer useful context without promising a universal fix.
A good pitch
Send a short outline through the Contact page. Include a working title, the central question, the intended reader and why the subject has lasting interest. Tell us if the idea relies on personal experience, and distinguish that experience from general claims.
Editorial fit
We value plain language, careful claims and respect for the horse-rider partnership. Avoid promotional copy, unsupported certainty and instructions that require an in-person assessment to use safely. A proposal is not a guarantee of publication.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, then explain that your message is a contribution pitch. Please send a proposal rather than a complete unsolicited article.
